If you use Google Mail (rather than GMail, as they got sued or something in Europe) then you have access to a big bunch of fun stuff like Google Reader, ~Chat, ~Calendar, ~Documents, ~Analytics, ~Webmaster Tools et al. If you are so inclined, you should check out ~Labs which is where they test beta/alpha features [...]
