I’m not sure how making something shaped like a lilypad is going to make it “eco” but I guess this is a common misconception that people have about artificial things. Like those air fresheners shaped like pine trees. I <3 artist representations.

Because it is the future they are going to be big on:

1) Renewable Energy/Energy From Waste
2) Saving/Recycling Water
3) Some method of transportation that:

3a) Uses renewable energy
3b) Is Cost Effective

4) Waste Disposal/Recycling
5) Attack From Aliens
6) Infrastructure
7) Minimizing Impact On A Strained 2050 AD Environment

I don’t see any defence against aliens on the lilypad. This is a big issue.

The thing I saw was some dude who made a type of energy out of sound called thermoacoustic energy. He made fridges out of it. Yeah, that is kind of cool but then some dude made heaps of energy out of the methane that comes from cow shit.

Cows are pretty cool.

He was going to use this to power homes and transport, so he was addressing numbers 1, 3a, 6 and 7 of the needs of Ecopolis. This guy was doing pretty well. Methane is a big greenhouse gas and cows are big producers of this gas (do you guys want numbers? I gave you heaps of numbers about the pill yesterday and no one cared. No numbers today apart from 1-7 above).

This dude is holding a handful of ecoMoney.

However, there are some issues that the citizens of Ecopolis are going to face if they used this guy’s power for their homes and/or hovercars/teleporters. This energy comes from animals. Vegans in this city would have no power and would have to walk everywhere.

Are any of you vegan? Would a vegan object to using power that came from animals? The animals don’t die from shitting in the paddocks but they are in the paddocks because they are going to be used for power (and probably food, too so I guess that vegans would object to this). Vegans don’t eat honey (bees don’t die from making honey, some of them die when the beekeeper takes the honey out) so I guess they couldn’t have a hot shower in Ecopolis.
